Naruto TCG: Five Lotteries Open, Hong Kong Ends Sunday

As of yesterday, the Taipei page for BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 finally points somewhere. Until then the note about the Naruto Teaching Session sat there as dead text with no link behind it, exactly the way Bangkok’s did weeks earlier. NARUTORECA reports the sign-up path now resolves to series 8529 on bandai-tcg-plus.com, with the matching admission ticket at 8530.

Sounds like housekeeping. It’s also the moment the Asian leg is finally complete: seven cities, seven sign-up paths that actually work.

Nothing has moved on the language side. The conditions still exist only in Chinese, and the English version of the page dead-ends. Applying means reading Traditional Chinese or keeping a translator open in the next tab.

Three Days With Five Lotteries Running at Once

Five application windows are open in parallel until Sunday: Bangkok (Sept. 11 to Oct. 4), Hong Kong (Sept. 1 to Sept. 27), Singapore (Sept. 11 to Oct. 12), Kuala Lumpur (Sept. 18 to Oct. 25) and now Taipei (Sept. 25 to Nov. 3). That five-way overlap holds for this weekend only. Hong Kong closes on September 27.

For Hong Kong that means: the session runs November 28 and 29 at AsiaWorld-Expo, and winners find out from October 15 whether they have a seat. Miss Sunday and you’re out. No late entry, no walking up to the table.

Why five windows at the same time when the sessions themselves sit weeks apart? Shikamaru would have read the whole procedure in two minutes and then not bothered.

A second deadline expires that same Sunday, and it slips past people far more easily. Face photo clearance in the BANDAI TCG+ app has to read „Face Photo Verified“ during the application period, and Bandai itself budgets a week or more for that. By NARUTORECA’s math that puts a de facto cutoff on September 27 for Bangkok and October 27 for Taipei. The window stays open longer than the road into it.

I still find the face-scan requirement heavy-handed for thirty minutes at a demo table. At a regional with prize money, fine, that’s fraud prevention. But here you sit down with a preconstructed deck and walk away with a promo card. (Henge no Jutsu would genuinely be a problem here, granted.)

The Card Everyone Is Playing For

The giveaway is identical in all seven cities: the CP-001 Chakra Card. The same card handed out on Yankee Stadium night and distributed in New York at Comic Con. Singapore is the only city to publish a capacity figure so far, 192, with no unit attached, so there’s no telling whether that covers the weekend, one day or a single session.

The dates, for anyone keeping count: Jakarta on October 10 and 11, Manila on October 24 and 25 (both application windows closed long ago), Bangkok on November 21 and 22, Singapore on December 5 and 6, Kuala Lumpur on December 12 and 13, Taipei on December 19 and 20.

What’s Left in It for Europe

Travel-wise: nothing. Nobody flies to Kuala Lumpur for thirty minutes of demo play.

The Asian leg is interesting as a preview of the procedure. Europe’s Fest stop in London, January 15 to 17, 2027 at ExCeL, also runs on mandatory pre-registration through a BANDAI TCG+ account, same-day visitors are excluded, and ticket sales start October 25 at 9:00 GMT. Whether London demands the same face photo tier still isn’t stated on the page.

So if January in London is on your list, set the TCG+ account up now instead of at nine in the morning on October 25.

Before that, Europe gets the NCG far more casually. SPIEL in Essen and Paris Games Week, both October 22 to 25, plus Lucca from October 28 to November 1, run demo tables with no lottery and no face check. Queue up, play. New York Comic Con also hands out its seats onsite on the day of the session. The lottery is an Asia-only quirk so far.

The costlier question is which model Bandai keeps for the actual launch in summer 2027. A lottery with face matching scales comfortably for the organizer and miserably for walk-up traffic. Asia looks like the test balloon, and if the response data comes back clean, the procedure travels with it. October 10 may offer the first hint, since that’s when the NARUTO panel runs at NYCC and Bandai has promised card and roadmap updates.
