Naruto TCG: Kuala Lumpur Opens Sign-Ups Sept. 18

Malaysia made the list. The Kuala Lumpur stop finally has its own NARUTO page over on Bandai’s Fest site, and with it a pair of dates that actually exist: Teaching Session on December 12 and 13, 2026, at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya. Sign-ups open September 18 and run through October 25. Confirmations start going out November 12.

The rest of it you can probably recite along with me. Lottery, not first come first served. Mandatory BANDAI TCG+ account. A verified face photo sitting in your profile, and without that one the form flat out refuses your application. Souvenir is identical everywhere: a CP-001 Chakra Card.

Eight Cities and a Calendar That Keeps Filling Up

Asia is up to eight dated sessions now. Jakarta (October 10 and 11), Manila (October 24 and 25), Bangkok (November 21 and 22), Hong Kong (November 28 and 29), Singapore (December 5 and 6), Kuala Lumpur (December 12 and 13), Taipei (December 19 and 20). Shanghai is parked in the overview with „December 2026“ and no days attached, Tokyo with „early 2027,“ and neither has a page of its own yet. Orlando (January 7 to 10) and London (January 15 to 17) come after all of that.

Spend a second on the order, though. Southeast Asia gets a clean weekly rhythm, a different metro every December weekend. Textbook logistics, and it’s the same touring machine One Piece has been running for years.

If you’re reading from Germany, Kuala Lumpur changes exactly nothing for you. Worth watching anyway, because the split in how Bandai handles the two regions is getting hard to miss. Asia gets an app lottery with a face scan. Europe gets open convention booths. Essen (October 22 to 25), Paris Games Week running at the same time, Lucca (October 28 to November 1), and not one of them asks for a TCG+ registration. You stand in line, you play a round, you go home.

Personally? I think Europe came out ahead here, and I say that as someone who has spent real hours in convention queues. A raffle that wants a biometric photo before you’re allowed to sit down at a demo table is a lot to ask for a game nobody can buy until 2027.

Singapore Still Points at the Wrong Door

Which drags me back to that link. On September 3 I noticed the sign-up button on the Singapore page doesn’t lead to Singapore. It drops you into series 8080 in the TCG+ system, which is Jakarta’s lottery, whose application window closed on August 24.

Five days on, same address, still sitting there. Singapore registration opens September 11. That’s three days out. Click that button on Thursday and you land in a closed raffle for an event in another country.

My guess is a copy-paste slip when someone built the page (Manila runs on 8122, Hong Kong on 8207, every session carries its own number). The reason it stings is the lead time on face verification, which routinely eats a week or more inside the app. Miss that, then discover on opening day that you’re staring at the wrong form, and half your window has already evaporated.

Kuala Lumpur has the identical homework in front of it. Ten days until September 18, and a working link needs to be there by then.

Cards That Don’t Exist Yet

So what does the community do while these dates crawl past? Card design fan fiction, obviously. There’s a thread on the subreddit collecting ideas for what each Leader should do, Edo Tensei for Orochimaru, toads as playable cards for Jiraiya. One user sums the whole mood up better than I could:

„Naruto has a lot more of an appeal to me than One Piece so I really hope Bandai can provide it with some of the love OP got in its own card game.“

That’s the job the demo sessions are doing. They’re the only thing actually happening between the June announcement and the summer 2027 launch. The rest is waiting, speculating, and the occasional promo card pulling absurd numbers on eBay.

My read: the next drop that genuinely matters is October 10, when Bandai shows the updated roadmap. Until then the calendar just keeps filling up with cities most of us don’t live in. So, Essen marked on your calendar already, or are you sitting this out until 2027?
