Bandai made the Premier Demo Events official: wave dates, $20 and $40 for the Chakra set and playmat, and TCG+ app sign-ups opening January 2027.
Saturday gave us the skeleton: demo events starting in February, two exclusive goodies, details to follow. Now Bandai has put up a dedicated Premier Demo Event page on the official NARUTO CARD GAME site, and it fills in most of what the New York Comic Con reveal left hanging. What do the playmat and the Chakra set cost? When do sign-ups open? And which decks are you actually sitting down with?

Two waves, now on Bandai’s own calendar
Wave 1 runs February 5 to 19, 2027. Wave 2 runs February 19 to March 5, 2027. Until now the only place those windows showed up was Anime News Network’s report (the press release didn’t include them). Now Bandai has published them itself.
Something’s missing, though. ANN also mentioned a broader demo event from March 5 to 31, and the new page doesn’t say a word about it. I wouldn’t plan around that one until Bandai confirms it.
Games happen at participating BANDAI TCG+ stores. Which stores? You look that up through TCG+ yourself, because Bandai’s page just says „More details coming soon.“ No countries or regions are listed either. Then again, the NYCC recap on the same site says the Premier Demo Events will be held „in all regions.“
Naruto vs. Sasuke, and the deck stays at the store
You get two demo decks, a Naruto deck and a Sasuke deck. Pick one, play against each other, done. Taking the deck home isn’t an option.
Collectors, this next bit is for you. The „Premium Card Collection vol.00 -CHAKRA set-“ carries an MSRP of $20 and shows up in both waves. The „NARUTO vs. SASUKE“ playmat goes for $40, but it’s Wave 1 only. Outside the demo events, the only place Bandai sells either item is BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in Orlando and London.
Bandai also points out that the product lineup differs between Wave 1 and Wave 2, and that each store gets stock based on its capacity. Leftovers may be sold to the public afterward.
If you hunt playmats, circle that line twice. The mat is tied to Wave 1, and Wave 1 is likely the smaller round with fewer stores. Want it? Then don’t sit around waiting for March.
Sign-ups in January, your own account only
You apply through the BANDAI TCG+ app, and applications are planned to open in January 2027. No exact date yet. Two rules are already locked in: proxy applications are prohibited, and if one person applies multiple times, those applications get invalidated. So grabbing a slot for your buddy is off the table (no matter how well Team 7’s teamwork works otherwise).
No TCG+ app on your phone yet? Set up the account now and favorite your local store, before everyone mashes the button at the same moment in January.
The release itself stays in June 2027. Bandai has the next big reveal lined up for Jump Festa in December, with SPIEL Essen running October 22 to 25 before that. My biggest open question is whether stores outside the US and Japan make it into Wave 1 at all. Do you already know if your local shop is in?
